ARREST After Man Allegedly Stabbed In Greenock Attack

A 26-YEAR-old man needed hospital treatment after an alleged serious assault in Greenock.

Emergency services were called to Mearns Street around 11.20 last night (Saturday).

The injured man, who was allegedly stabbed, was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital and allowed home after treatment.

Detectives said a 33-year-old man was arrested and is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday.
