ARREST After Discovery Of Six-Figure Cannabis Cultivation

CANNABIS plants with an estimated street value of £123,000 were found at a property in Port Glasgow.

Police made the discovery during a search of premises at Jean Street on Tuesday. A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged.

Chief Inspector Paul Cameron, area commander for Inverclyde, said: “This was excellent work by Inverclyde’s local community policing team.

“We continue to tackle the production and sale of drugs across Inverclyde and I encourage anyone with any concerns about suspicious activity in their area to contact us.

“The information we receive from the public is vital and allows us to carry out enforcement activity.
