ARDGOWAN Hospice in Greenock has received a £1,700 donation from the Amazon team in Gourock.

The charity plans to use the money to replace tiles at the entrance of its building on Nelson Street.

Lorna Sharples, site leader at Amazon in Gourock, said: “Ardgowan Hospice is a charity that’s been close to our hearts for a long time here at Amazon in Gourock.

“We are so pleased to offer another donation of £1,700 to the charity as it navigates the struggles of covid-19 restrictions.”

Linda Kelly, head of corporate development from Ardgowan Hospice, said: “On behalf of us all at Ardgowan Hospice, I want to thank Lorna, as well as Amazon’s community champion Gillian Maxwell, and the rest of the Amazon team for this donation.

“It will help us to take the best care we can of those who need us.”

Amazon in Gourock has been a long-term supporter of Ardgowan Hospice, with the most recent donation providing stock for the hospice’s charity shop in Greenock.
