THE team from Amazon’s Gourock fulfilment centre has made a £1,000 donation to Inverclyde Foodbank.

The donation will be used to restock supplies in the face of increased demand during the pandemic.

Lorna Sharples, site leader at Amazon in Gourock, said: “Inverclyde Foodbank is a lifeline for vulnerable families in our community and we’re pleased to offer our support to help the team restock supplies.”

Lesley Jackson, manager of Inverclyde Foodbank, said: “Amazon in Gourock has always been a great friend to us and we are so pleased to be able to offer our services to the Inverclyde community with the support of Lorna and her team.”

The donation was made as part of the Amazon in the Community programme, through which the company supports communities around its operating locations across the UK.
