A MAN was arrested for alleged motoring and drugs offences in Greenock.
Police stopped the 31-year-old man’s vehicle on the A8 Port Glasgow Road at 12:30pm on Monday.
Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: “The driver allegedly had no insurance and the vehicle was seized.
“On dealing with the suspect, officers could smell drugs from the vehicle resulting in a search whereby a quantity of blue tablets and wraps containing brown powder belived to be heroin, were allegedly recovered.”
The man is scheduled to appear at court on a later date.
