How the extension is expected to look

PLANS for a 64-pupil extension to a pre-five facility in Port Glasgow have been approved.

Inverclyde Council has been given planning permission to expand Rainbow Family Centre in Oronsay Avenue.

Landscaping and extra car parking will also be provided.

Park Farm Tenants’ Hall will be demolished as part of the work. The neighbouring multi-use games area will be kept.

The single-storey extension will cater for three to five-year-olds.

The investment is being delivered as part of the Scottish Government initiative to increase the entitlement of early learning and childcare from 600 hours to 1,140 hours a year.
