Inverclyde Now Logo FEEDBACK Sought From Inverclyde To Cowal Ferry Passengers

FERRY passengers who use Gourock to Dunoon services are being invited to complete a survey to help future decision-making for vessels and harbour infrastructure.

All users, no matter how often they travel or whether they go on services run by CalMac or Western Ferries, are encouraged to share their views.

The survey is available to complete online.

Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) has commissioned the consultation to inform the work of the recently-established Gourock Harbour Infrastructure and Vessels Project, which aims to deliver a modern, reliable and resilient lifeline passenger ferry service between Gourock and Dunoon.

The project is being delivered in partnership by CMAL, Transport Scotland, CalMac and Argyll and Bute Council and covers the redevelopment of Gourock Ferry Terminal, minor works to harbour infrastructure at Dunoon and delivery of two new vessels.

Kevin Hobbs, chief executive at CMAL, said: “The views and experiences of ferry passengers are very important to us during the planning stages of this project. We want to hear from as many people as possible.

“We recognise that everyone is experiencing a challenging and uncertain time with the coronavirus pandemic. However, we are keen to continue with as much work as we can to support Scotland’s ferries and harbours, and this survey can be completed by passengers from the comfort of their homes.”
