Inverclyde Now Logo ALLEGED Drug-Dealer Who Ran From Police Had Nearly 100 Bags Of Suspected Heroin And Cocaine

POLICE were called to suspected drug-dealing being conducted from a car in Greenock.

When officers arrived at Norfolk Road, Larkfield around 11am on Friday, three males allegedly ran away, one of them discarding a bag.

They were apprehended after a foot chase and the bag was recovered and found to contain a large quantity of suspected drugs.

There were 63 individual small bags containing white powder, believed to be cocaine, with an estimated value of £660,
31 bags of brown powder believed to be heroin, estimated value £620, and four bags with white tablets believed to be Ecstasy.

A 54-year-old man was arrested and charged with drug-related offences and is scheduled to appear at court on a later date.
