POLICE have again targeted drug-related crime in a central Greenock street.

Officers searched a house under Warrant at an address on Ann Street around noon on Friday.

A quantity of drugs, with an estimated street value of £1,200, and more than £1,400 cash were recovered.

Two males were arrested on drug-dealing charges and held in custody to appear at court.

Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: “This was as a result of complaints received regarding the problems associated with Ann Street.”

During this operation, another male on nearby Tobago street was stopped and searched and will be reported for alleged possession of drugs, believed to be cannabis.

A female was arrested for alleged breach of bail curfew and also held in custody.
