Three-Club Challenge -- The club will once again host a nine-hole three-club challenge (following on from last year’s successful centenary event) on Sunday 22 July. The competition will be held over the first nine holes and competitors may only use three golf clubs (any three that they wish). The winner of the competition will be the competitor with the best nett score (gross score for nine holes less half of your handicap). The entry fee for the competition is £1 which can be paid on the day of the competition. Presentation will be held about 3.30pm. Members can enter for the competition by entering their names, on the sheet, on the noticeboard. A rules sheet will be published in due course.

British Open -- All members should note that the final day of the 2012 British Open will be shown, live, in the clubhouse, on Sunday 22 July at 1pm. It is hoped that a good crowd will watch the event in the club creating a great atmosphere for one of the most important golfing competitions of the year.

Whinhill Trophy -- 'Whinhill Trophy' Gents Scratch and Handicap Open competition will be held on Saturday 4 August. The competition is an 18-hole strokeplay competition for gent golfers. With a record entry in last year’s competition, golfers are encouraged to enter as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. The closing date for entries is Saturday 21 July.
