INVERCLYDE Council’s Registration Office will move to the new £2million customer service centre at Greenock Municipal Buildings on Monday 3 September 2012.

It is the latest service to move to the Clyde Square facility which is designed to offer a single point of contact for people wanting to access a wide range of services.

The Registration Office is currently based in West Stewart Street. There will be private facilities available to conduct registrations and also to discuss private matters. An appointment system is currently in place and this will remain.

Wedding ceremonies will still continue in West Stewart Street and can be booked at the customer service centre.

Copies of birth, death and marriage extracts will be available from the customer service centre.

A member of the registration services staff will be located on desk number one at the customer service centre.

Council Tax collection payments at West Stewart Street will cease from Friday (17 August) and can be made at the customer service centre in the Municipal Buildings or at any shop displaying Pay Point and at any Post Office.
