CRUISE Season In 2013 Will Be Another Record-Breaker
AS crowds watched the majestic sight of Cunard ship Queen Elizabeth leaving the Clyde, it was confirmed that next year’s cruise ship season at Greenock will be another record-breaker.
Cunard flagship Queen Mary 2 will be among the vessels coming to the Ocean Terminal in 2013. She will be at Greenock on 15 May 2013.
Andrew Hemphill, general manager of the Clydeport terminal, said: “This year is a record-breaking year -- we have around 40 cruise ship visits and 65,000 passengers – but next year is going to break the record again.”
He said details of how many cruise ship visits there will be will be announced later in the year.
