TOM'S Nostalgic Films To Feature At Event
HISTORIAN and artist Tom Johnstone will take residents down memory lane at a special event in Greenock.
Tom is taking part in a history day at the McLean Museum on Saturday 28 July/
He will be screening several films -- "Views from Greenock's Victoria Tower -- 1960s","Greenock's Sugarhouses" and "The Vennel and Market Street areas of Greenock in the 1930s", and will also demonstrate some art work for children.

The event programme also includes heritage walks, genealogy taster sessions, a historic bus tour, a talk on Allan Park Paton, ex-librarian of the Watt Library; as well as stalls, quizzes and children’s activities.
There will also be two exhibitions in the gallery – one marking the bicentenary of the Comet steamer and Vanishing Views, a show based on scenes of the area.
It is on from noon to 4pm and is free to the public.
