POWER Station Demolition Blast -- LINK To Video Added

A LARGE chunk of Inverkip Power Station was blown up by controlled explosion.
A corner of the massive building disappeared on Wednesday afternoon as a 30-metre high air heater was demolished.
Crowds watched from several coastal vantage points as warning sirens sounded ahead of the blast.
The structural collapse was all over very quickly and spectators lingered seemingly hoping for more, some of them perhaps fooled by rumours that the towering chimney was coming down as well.

After the dust had settled
Demolition of the power station will continue for 18 months ahead of proposed development of a village on the site. Two more air heaters are to be demolished in the autumn.
