MSP To Raise A78 Inverkip Concerns At Meeting
A LOCAL MSP is to meet transport bosses to discuss the spate of crashes at the A78 Inverkip north junction.
SNP MSP Stuart McMillan wrote to the chief executive of Transport Scotland to highlight recent traffic collisions at the junction and to ask for a meeting to discuss the on-going issues surrounding road safety on the A78 at Inverkip.
Mr McMillan said: “Once again, the issue of road safety on the A78 at the Inverkip Junction has come to fore with a number of traffic accidents occurring.
“I’m pleased Transport Scotland will meet with me, in the near future, after a review of the accidents has been completed.
“The issue of road safety on the A78 Inverkip Junction has been a long standing one and one which is not going away. Therefore, I will be making it clear to transport bosses that further action is required on the road network in-order to address road safety concerns.”
