ELDERLY Woman Taken To Hospital After Crash

AN elderly woman was taken to hospital for a check-up after a crash at a busy Greenock junction.
Two cars were involved in the collision around midday at the traffic lights at Patrick Street and Brougham Street.
Police, ambulance and fire and rescue crews were all sent to the scene. Traffic on all approaches to the cross roads was disrupted.
It is understood the injured woman was able to walk to the ambulance.
A 52-year-old man has been charged with alleged careless driving.
