ELDERLY Man Rescued From Clyde
AN elderly man was rescued from the Clyde at Greenock Esplanade.
The man in his eighties was helped ashore by a member of the public during the incident around 2.20pm on Sunday.
Clyde Coastguard said it appeared the man had slipped and fallen.
He was treated by ambulance staff and taken to hospital.
Rescue units, including Helensburgh Lifeboat, were alerted but were not required.
