THOUSANDS lined the streets of Greenock as the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh visited the town.
Crowds greeted Her Majesty’s motorcade as it arrived at Cathcart Square just after 3pm.
The Royal couple were met by Guy Clark, Lord-Lieutenant for Renfrewshire. The national anthem was played by school musicians and the schools choirs sang.
The Queen met representatives from Inverclyde Community Development Trust, Inverclyde Tourist Group and Clydeport, Ocean Youth Trust Scotland and Port Glasgow Otters Swimming Club and she then opened Inverclyde Council’s new customer contact centre in the Municipal Buildings.
The Queen’s car drove via The Esplanade to Battery Park where Her Majesty left by helicopter.
