SCHOOL Celebrates Fifth Birthday In Style
INVERCLYDE Academy celebrated its fifth birthday in style.
Hundreds of pupils enjoyed the fun celebration on the last day of term.
There was a disco, games -- including musical chairs and pin the tail on the donkey -- art and sports areas and a band performance.
The festivities closed with the cutting of an impressive cake made by home economics teacher Grace McEndrick.
Inverclyde Academy was created by combining Greenock High School and Wellington Academy in 2007.
Initially Inverclyde Academy operated from both the old campuses but after six months the whole school was accommodated in the former Greenock High building.
The new campus at Ravenscraig opened in December 2008.
