PLAN For Clydeview Academy 'Park And Stride' Area
A £150,000 ‘park and stride’ area is being proposed for cars dropping off and collecting Clydeview Academy pupils.
The facility is planned for the Mallard Crescent, Greenock, entrance to the school on land where River Clyde Homes have recently demolished two housing blocks, at the junction with Partridge Road.
A report to Inverclyde Council’s Education and Communities Committee sates: “It is proposed to construct a 22-space car park to encourage responsible pick-up/drop-off and assist traffic flow and minimise congestion at the pedestrian entrance on Mallard Crescent.
“The work will complement the works already carried out to the adjacent stepped path linking Lyle Road and Partridge Road and will complete the footpath link between those steps and the school to provide a continuous footway.”
