PostHeaderIcon SCHOOL Staging Les Miserables Show

A CAST of 60 pupils is staging the school edition of the musical Les Miserables at Notre Dame High, next week.

The 11 to 18-year-olds have been rehearsing three times a week since February for the show which is on at the school in Dunlop Street, Greenock from Wednesday 13 to Saturday 16 June.

Mary Currie is directing the production and principal music teacher Gerard Gordon is musical director.

He said: “It has been a big challenge because the whole show is sung. We are very fortunate to have so much talent in the school that we can put on a production like this. We have had to double cast the girls’ roles and many more pupils could have had parts in the show.”

Professional sound technicians and costumiers are being used.

Tickets are available by calling the school office on 01475 715150.
