FIREFIGHTER Injured Tackling Port Shop Blaze

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in a Port Glasgow shop.
Crews were called to the incident in Mansion Avenue around 1am on Tuesday.
They found a well-developed fire which was spreading into the roof space of the single storey building.
Teams wearing breathing gear and carrying firefighting jets dealt with the flames and then stripped away parts of the damaged roof to ensure that there was no further fire spread.
One firefighter suffered a minor hand injury which required medical treatment.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
