TRAINS to and from Gourock will be affected by strike action on Christmas Eve.
Services on the line will be less frequent and finish earlier because of industrial action by Network Rail staff in the West of Scotland signalling centre.
ScotRail say the situation is beyond their control and apologise for any inconvenience. The operator adds that, because of likely congestion on the roads and that a level of service is being maintained in most instances, replacement buses will not be provided.
Scotrail have issued details of the reduced service but stress it is only a guide. Passengers are urged to make sure their train is running by looking at the JourneyCheck website
There will be two Gourock services an hour instead of three and they are expected to leave at 6mins and 36mins past the hour from Gourock and 5mins and 35mins past the hour from Glasgow during the day.
The last train from Gourock to Glasgow is expected to be at 8.20pm and the last one from Glasgow to Gourock is expected to be at 9.20pm.
