GIRL With A Camera Photo-Blog -- Blossoming In Newark Street
Girl With A Camera, Ashley Baxter, makes the most of the blossom and the buildings.
A previous fashion intern at The Herald, Kay Slater is an aspiring model who is currently in her final year at school. We first crossed paths when I was photographing for Parma Vintage, Gourock, and Kay was modelling. We agreed to meet up at a later date to shoot together.
It was Kay's idea to shoot on Newark Street, and what a perfect idea it was with the cherry blossom trees in full bloom and the Mariners’ Home making for a beautiful backdrop. We also utilised some of the period features of the Victorian buildings and generally lucked out with the weather. What a fun shoot with an obliging model, I wish Kay much success.
