Girl With A Camera, Ashley Baxter, enjoyed her first visit to Kilmacolm, where she took photos of Ryan Hamilton:
Ryan and I first crossed paths at James Watt College where we both studied Modern Musicianship – him a guitarist, myself a drummer.
That was nine years ago, and while he still focuses heavily on music, I'm more interested in roping him into being the subject of my photos. After all, he's one of few people who would suit up and run down a street in Kilmacolm on a freezing Saturday morning for me.
This was my first visit to Kilmacolm and, as fleeting as it was, I was charmed by the quaint shops and peaceful nature. I think there's plenty more to be explored.
