FASHION chain M&Co is closing its Greenock store as part of company re-structuring.
The shop in the Oak Mall is one of eight in Scotland being lost.
M&Co, formerly known as Mackays, is closing a total of nearly 50 of its stores across the UK as it tries to survive difficult retail conditions, although more than 200 will remain open.
The Greenock branch is in the eastern end of the shopping centre which its owners want to demolish and replace with flats, although existing businesses would be offered space elsewhere in the mall if the plan is approved.
